Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma

Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma, aka Monstera Minima or Ginny Philodendron, is a fast-growing vining plant in the family Araceae native to Southern Thailand and Malaysia. It gets its common name of Monstera Minima due to its resemblance to the Monstera Deliciosa, with its split leaves. However, the leaves of the Tetrasperma stay quite a bit smaller, and its leaves and vines are much more prolific. This plant is very easy to care for and has a climbing, and vining habit so over time it will need a pole, trellis, or wall to support its growth.

Tetrasperma Care:

• Mini Monstera thrives with several hours of bright, indirect sunlight daily. Avoid direct sunlight exposure, as it can lead to leaf burns. If your plant lacks fenestrations on its leaves, it's a sign it needs more light and should be relocated to a brighter spot.
• Plant your mini monstera in a moist, well-draining soil mix that's nutrient-rich and slightly acidic. Enhance regular indoor potting soil with perlite and orchid bark, or blend equal parts coco coir, orchid bark, and perlite for optimal growth.
• Hailing from tropical regions in Asia and Africa, Mini Monstera appreciates consistent moisture. Since their delicate roots are sensitive to both underwatering and overwatering, maintain soil moisture levels, ensuring it's consistently moist but not waterlogged.
