Scindapsus Hederaceus Pictus ‘Jade’

The jade satin pothos is admired for its large, thick, heart-shaped leaves and deep green color. While it might be a bit harder to find and pricier compared to other pothos varieties, it's not considered particularly rare and is typically available at most houseplant shops or nurseries. However, like all pothos, pet owners should be aware that the jade satin pothos is toxic to pets if ingested.

Satin Jade Care:

• For optimal growth, place these pothos in a spot with ample bright, indirect sunlight. Unlike other pothos varieties like the golden pothos, the jade satin pothos doesn't thrive in low light conditions. Inadequate light can lead to stunted and leggy growth. However, avoid direct sunlight exposure to prevent leaf burn.
• Opt for a soil mix that's rich, well-draining, and airy. A blend of indoor potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark in equal parts is recommended and simple to prepare at home.
• The jade satin pothos is sensitive to overwatering and can suffer from root rot if left in waterlogged soil. To avoid overwatering, allow the top two to three inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Check soil moisture with your finger or a moisture meter before watering.
